Heritage Pointe Residents
Visit Cumberland Mtn.
General Store
On March 22, 2018, Heritage
Pointe Senior Living visited
the Cumberland Mtn. General
Store and Rock-A-Billy Diner.
Everyone loved it! Activities Director,
Shannon MacFarquhar,
said “the tenderloin sandwich
is best around and the mudslide
was amazing. On the way home
we stopped by Muddy Pond
General Store for fried pies and
other goodies. It was a fun filled
day!”
Resident, Myrtle Patterson,
said “It was a cold day but the
antiques were very pretty and I
would love to visit again when it
is warmer. The catfish sandwich
was one of the best ever and I
enjoyed it. I just enjoyed the
trip. I loved the fried pies from
Muddy Pond.
Resident, Nancy Owen,
said “It was like a trip back into
history with the 1950’s decorations
and jukebox. The food
was delicious. Although it was a
restaurant, it was like eating In
someone’s home.
Gerry Mecum “ the banana
split was good and it was really
fun looking back at all the old
stuff, from bottles tools, and
dishes that Grandma used to
have. My husband has always
been a collector.”
