As we slowly roll into summer like a burning tire careening down
the side of a mountain, it’s important to remind everyone you love
them, because in three weeks’ time it’s going to be 110 degrees,
with 99% humidity and we’re going to want to kill each other. On that
note, I thought I would highlight some of the people who work hard on
this island (but still have fun) to ensure summer is a great experience
for locals and visitors alike. Enjoy!
I think this shows all our readers just how hard we work.
There’s little time for fun or games. Alaina had to stop in this
Food Spy at The Crab Shack to take a very important call on her
shell phone.
When Caitlin (of Bubba Gumbos) isn’t busy stealing your wife
or girlfriend, she can be found solving crimes, such as “who
stole my damn seagull?”
I stopped in to the Rivers End Campground to guilt the staff
into letting me take their photo. It wasn’t working until Shawn
(center), the City Manager, walked in. Tiffany (L) and Jessica (R)
reluctantly agreed to be immortalized in the Beachcomber. See ladies,
it wasn’t that horrible.
I stopped over at The Deck to grab a quick drink and ran into
Colin, one of Tybee’s best bartenders! Not only can his man sling
a mean cocktail, get him warmed up and his goofy side comes out.
I think this is an important lesson, NEVER drink and drive,
always walk or call a cab. And if you must walk, make sure
you’re wearing high visibility clothing, especially if it’s after dark.
Now this may just look like an awesome family, but they are
much more than that! Without these beautiful people, The
Beachcomber would be nothing! The McLellan Clan - (From L to R)
Paige, Margie, Mac, Hollie, Zachary, Mike and David.
This bubbly lady is vital to Tybee more than I think she knows.
Madison is a liquor rep with National Distributing. I ran
into her tasting the new Three Olives Rose Vodka. Ask your favorite
bartender if they carry this product. It’s absolutely wonderful!
