the ready for a midnight phone call
as a victim is whisked away, under a
blanket, out of a car door and into the
safe haven of a generous volunteer.
Chip found many incredible people
involved in these two steps of the
process. However step three…..
introducing a victim back into society
in a self-sustaining and productive way
seemed to have a rather large question
mark at the end of it. And when Chip
saw the question mark he pushed
his shoulders a little farther forward,
tucked his chin in like Walter Peyton
facing a defensive line and decided to
find the answer.

arts. The funding for this project
is growing and they are expecting
to have the kitchen open and fully
operational in 2019. The Community
Culinary School of Charlotte has also
been a supporter of this program
and has recently provided their first
scholarship to one of the people
discovered by Chip and Cheery. “The
