Chivalry is not dead; you set the tone for that to
happen. Encourage these things at a young age.
If they can work an iPad they can shake hands, be
kind, open doors etc. Reinforce good manners, be
a gentleman.
Kindness has No age requirement (or expiration
date)
Create and maintain good boundaries! The older
they get the less wiggle room they need.
Moms - Be the kind of lady, and example that your
son respects so he sets good standards for what he
looks for in a wife.
Yes, Boys are usually more hyperactive. Don’t try
to change it but channel it to produce something
you can both be proud of.
Hold the peeper down when potty training.
When having a heart to heart keep it short and
sweet, or they’re eyes will gloss over.
They love their mommies but need their daddies.
It’s a lot easier to dress boys because it’s either
shorts or pants. But they cost just as much as girls
clothes due to the constant ripping and staining.
Learn how to direct their energy; it will enhance
your relationship. They need us moms!
Recognize you are raising the next generation of
men who will lead our country, communities and
families. Give them the space to lead as a child and
young man.

life speaks to them. (uh OHHHH)
Understand and support their competitive nature,
sometimes is the best way to learn.
Laugh a lot! My boys love to tease and make jokes.
Are they funny? Not usually but if they can make
me laugh it make their day.
Best conversations happen right before bedtime;
I’ll sit by their bed or lay down with them and just
listen intently. They will talk about their day, their
fears, their expectations, etc. It has become my
favorite part of the day because they share their
heart. We’ve had so many good talks and God
moments. I try to make their last moments before
bed an encouraging time so they go to sleep feeling
like they are 10 feet tall and know how much they
are loved.
Moms be encouraged to continue your vital role and
responsibility in raising your boys to men. My last thought;
Take time out for you to recharge, reboot and relax so you
can show up for your family. They need you!!! Surround
yourself with other women/moms as you lead your families,
blog to charge your parenting heart, show up for your mom
friends when they least expect and encourage them.
