FOUNDER
Dan DeMiglio’s Recapturing
the American Dream
By Brandon Goldstein
If you ever had the opportunity to watch The
Founder, you’ll notice the eccentric and big
vision Ray Kroc teaming up with the McDonald
brothers: brilliant inventors and perfectionists
who put quality over profit, and the true originators
of “fast food” as we know it today.

booming in 1950s Southern California when
Kroc, a struggling milkshake spinner salesman, first
took notice. From there, a partnership was born,
where Kroc franchised the McDonald’s brand
across the country, eventually pushing the McDonalds
and their values out, and becoming the hundred

entrepreneurial spirit we see on every street corner
today.
