SPREAD AWARENESS
• Alzheimer’s New Jersey kicks off its
2018 Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s events this
fall with a location in Bergen County. One
hundred percent of the funds raised from
Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s support Garden
State individuals and families through
Alzheimer’s New Jersey’s programs and
services. Walk to Fight Alzheimer's teams
are made up of families, friends and coworkers
who come together to raise
awareness and funds for Alzheimer's New
Jersey programs and services, as well as research.
Corporate, company and individual
sponsorships are welcome. Registration for
each event begins at 8:30 a.m., with the
walk beginning at 10 a.m. There is no fee to
register. In addition to the walk, all events
will include food, music, prizes and activities
for children. Mark your calendar: The
Bergen County walk will take place on Oct.
28 at Bergen Community College in Paramus.

MOM’S NIGHT OUT
• Join FIT4MOM Bergen and The Spine
& Health Center of Closter for a free
Mom’s Night Out event to remember on
Nov. 8 from 6:30-9 p.m. Relax, recharge,
connect, shop, nosh, sip and more. This
event is for #allthemoms – baby bumps,
master mamas and the new mamas on the
block. Bring your mama tribe! The event
will be held at The Spine & Health Center
of Closter, 31 Vervalen St., Closter. At 6:30
p.m., enjoy a free FIT4MOM 30-minute
sweat session (optional) and then from 7-
9 p.m., eat, drink, mingle, shop and get

RAISE FUNDS
• Bergen United Way is hosting “A Very
Special Night Gala” on March 28, 2019 at
the Edgewood Country Club from 6-10
p.m. Each year United Way hosts this very
special evening in celebration of their Very
Special Housing. Their tenants will be the
stars of a Broadway spectacular lead by
celebrity chorographer and Broadway star
Judine Somerville that will bring to life the
meaning of their work. Guests will also
enjoy specialty cocktails and libations,
unique silent auction prizes and a dinnerstyle
cocktail hour at the newly-remodeled
chic Edgewood Country Club.
