of offering well-rounded real estate assistance
to their clients in and around Moore County.
They are a family team composed of David and
Molly Wilson and their daughter Bree Sheridan.
With a background in sales and a family
tree in Moore County that goes back many
generations, David Wilson knows Moore County,
and he knows construction. In addition to his
real estate experience, David also holds a North

Wilson and Bree Sheridan, who round out the
team, both have the desire to see their clients
receive the best customer service always as they
work with the client’s best interest in mind. As
a team, their areas of expertise include military
relocation, residential sales, new construction,
and land purchases and sales.
“The Wilson Properties Team is the very best
combination of experience, local knowledge,
honesty and straight talk you can find anywhere
in Moore County,” adds broker/owner Bill
Sahadi. (www.foreproperties.com)

Winter Pool Maintenance
by Jessica Tessman
Living in the South, we are blessed with
milder winters than our friends to the North.
Around here, we can keep our pools open
throughout the winter without running the risk
of busted pipes. For a successful winter with
your pool, you just have to follow three rules.
1. Keep the pool running. Running water
doesn’t freeze, so as long as you keep the pump
running 24 hours when the temperatures are
in the 30-40 degree range, your plumbing and
equipment will not freeze and crack. Pools also
need to run a minimum of 8 hours a day to
maintain clarity even when the temperatures
are not close to freezing.
2. Keep the leaves out. Leaves consume your
sanitizer and cause your pH to rise, resulting in
a green pool. If you neglect your pool all winter,
then it will be quite an undertaking to clean
up in the spring. No time to scoop? Southern
Tropics offers maintenance service! We’ll keep
the leaves out all winter!
3. Keep chlorine in the pool. Algae will
grow at 40 degrees water temperature. If the pH
is high, it will grow at lower temperatures. Keep
chlorine in your pool to avoid the green!
These rules are a recipe for success. Enjoy
sparkling, crystal clear water all 12 months of the
year. If you have any hiccups along the way, then
give Southern Tropics a call. We are your onestop
shop for service, maintenance, chemicals,
and FREE water testing. We’d love to help you
out! ☐ For more info see ad. p. 26.
Share your smile with
the world. It's a symbol
of friendship and peace.
