students earned a spot in the 2018-
19 All-District Concert Band: Amanda
Eckels, Bryce Austin-Alternate, Jayden
Coalson-Alternate, Mason Malarkey,
Preston Roesslet, Wyatt McFall,
and Mya Bartels-Alternate. The
following students made the
All-District Honor Band: James
Speake, Karmyn Bartels, T.J.
Wright, and Daniel Pilotto.
The following Nixa Junior High
band students were selected
for the 2018-29 Junior High
All-District Band: Mya Coalson,
Malena Fleming, Sailor Powley,
Julia Worthley, Hendrix
Trott, Allen Flemming, Micah
Cranfi eld, Elijah Bartels, Karsen
Tunnel, Justice Jones, Jayden
Cantrell, and Seb Sweaney.
Nixa High School has been named to the College
Board’s 9th Annual AP District Honor Roll. 373 school
districts in the United States and Canada received this
honor, and Nixa is one of only six school districts in Missouri
to be recognized. This is Nixa High School’s third
consecutive year to be honored.

magazine won fi rst
place in the Best Overall
Publication category at
Missouri Southern State
University’s Media Showcase
Day.
High school band

fi rst chair in the 2018-29
All-State Band and was
selected by a state-wide
audition against all
class of schools.
Nixa High School’s DECA
chapter fi nished with
16 medalists and 10
fi nalists at the District
11 DECA Conference.
Students who qualifi ed
will compete at the State
Career Development
Conference.
