Congratulations to the three
Nixa robotics teams who advanced
to state after the regional
qualifi er that was held in Nixa on
November 10: Storm Dragons,
The Plantettes, and Space
Innovaders.
PLANTETTES
Nixa Choirs is
proud to have
39 students
represented in the
South Central All-
District Honor Choir.
Amanda Obeso, Devin
Randolph, Mikayla Routh, and Emma
Schuster (1st alternate) were selected to
the All-State Choir as well, which means
they were in the top-6 in their voice part
of the South Central Missouri region.
Nixa’s JROTC competed
in Molena, Georgia at
the Army JROTC Raider
Championship and
fi nished 26th in the
nation within the all-male
team category. Nixa JROTC also placed
second at the Ozark Drill Classic.
Nixa’s JROTC competed in their
fi rst ever VEX Robotics
tournament, placing
second out of 44 competing
teams. The Nixa
JROTC VEX Robotics
team included the
following students:
Lance Barnhardt, Allen
McNeal, Caelyn
Bainto, and Aiden
Ewald. Nixa’s JROTC
competed in a second
VEX Robotics competition
in Kansas City, MO
where they earned a
third place fi nish out of 27
competing teams.
Carson Neal was
recognized as Nixa’s
nominee for the
Missouri School
Boards’ Association
Belcher Scholarship.
INNOVADERS
Nixa High School brought 45 medals
and 14 students qualified for
State in 24 different Events at the
FBLA regionals.
