Born in the sign of Taurus and married to a Taurus,
Robbin jokingly says, “it lays a foundation for really
great arguments.” She is a woman of emotional
conviction and deeply embedded spirit. Her story with
me started with her love connection with her now
husband Tim. Taking me all the way back to 1989,
������������������������������������������������������������������������
������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
on the following Sunday,” she shares with laughter
while blushing. The proposal was a little less than
romantic, but more from a scene in a movie script
that hasn’t been written yet. “Tim took me to the
����������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
only 9 days prior, for Sunday brunch after church,”
she shares. “When we were seated, he disappears into
the bathroom for a very long time. It was such a long
time that the waitress suggested he had left me at the
restaurant and that I needed to either order something
to eat or leave.”
Fifteen minutes later, Tim walks out of the bathroom,
������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
nerves on full display. He walks over to the table,
������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
and the night owls seeking recovery food. He gets
down on his knee and asks her to marry him. Robbin
and Tim were married four months later and will
celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary this
September.
Robbin caught the eyes of the Moxxie Magazine
publishing team early on. She carries an energy that
is light and engaging yet, bold and full of Moxxie.
Pure determination, wit and grit are some of the
characteristics we would use to describe her.
As a God-fearing woman, who looks at each new day
as a gift, her philosophy on life is to not worry about
the things that she has no control over. While
��������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
in someone, she graciously accepts those opportunities
internally. She navigates her life using rules that would
inject a universal shift if they were worldly rules. “Be nice
to one another, be humble, maintain integrity and then
follow the rules,” she says while laughing at the last rule.
As a woman in the world we live in, Robbin keeps her
����������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
be known as the strong one in our group. I have always
been that person that gets called upon when strength and
courage need to be injected into a situation, and I love
being that person.” Her spirit animal is the elephant,
which, makes a lot of sense of her position in her friendships.
“Elephants are strong, intelligent, loyal and operate
as a congregation at all times. Perhaps there are things
that we, as a culture, could learn from these majestic and
spiritual animals,” she states.
Robbin currently resides in Waynesville with her
husband Tim. She is the owner of Brophy & Associates
Consulting located at 367 Dellwood Road, Bldg. E, Suite
3 in Waynesville. She is the mother of three grown children
and Gwamma (grandma) to a beautiful granddaughter.
