We translated the Garment of Grace
pamphlet and the proofing is nearly
done. I want to insure every word is
correct before I submit it to you. One
of the main events in the Diocese was
the Annual Meeting (Diocese Pastoral
Council) which required representatives
from all the spiritual groups and other
leaders in the Church. I represented
the ULRA and attended the three-day
Conference chaired by Archbishop
Steve Reichert of Madang. Attached is
a group picture of us. Thank you for
your support and prayers.
< Agnes - PAPUA NEW GUINEA > Greetings from Zambia! I am a diocesan
priest incardinated in Mansa Diocese.
I was ordained in June 2004 and am
currently the Parish Priest of St. Peter’s
Parish in Lunga. The parish is new and
it is situated in the swamps of Lake
Bangweulu, and made up of 11 islands
with 18 outstations. The only transport
we use are boats. We are in the process
of forming lay groups, and a Saint
Philomena group for the faithful. I
am requesting Sacramentals for our
people. Thanking you in anticipation.
< Fr. Kennedy Kashinga - ZAMBIA >
On November 26, I celebrated another
year of my life. I offered to God, through
Our Lady, my office and converted it
to be a Center for the Living Rosary. I
was in the seminary for a time, came
out and graduated from AB Philosophy,
studied interior design. Through your
trust and support, we will work from
this office. Here, all our Sacramentals
will be kept for distribution on every
mission we make. Thank you for giving
direction and meaning to my life. Our
sacrifices and works are consecrated
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On
December 7, the Principal of Cuenca
High School invited us to go from room
to room and invite the students to take
part. We enrolled 950 students that day!
In January, we were invited to the
Olivarez College to campaign during
their Foundation Day at their Marian
Exhibit. In all, we enrolled 200 youth!
This Wednesday, we will enroll the
inmates at Bureau Jail and Penology.
Nancy Perfas, one of our members who
was afflicted with breast cancer, wrote
a testimonial in Filipino that she was
miraculously healed through the holy
oil of St. Philomena. We will mail you
her handwritten letter as well as the
translation. Our promoters prepare as
early as 5 a.m. for our missions. May
God bless you abundantly!
