Gavin Fenimore, Delainey Floyd, Ella Hoskinson, Blake Marsh, Cameron
McCort, Connor Ruyle, Collin Scott, and Charles Speake were selected
to the Missouri Choral Director's Association Summer Honor Choir.
This choir is the equivalent of "All-State" for middle school.
At the Foreign Language Field Day. Spanish took 1st place (for the 5th
year in a row) and French placed 3rd out of 25 schools
The following students earned their Spanish Seal of Biliteracy: David
Holgerson, Taylor Fleetwood, Skye Holder, Jaqueline Estes, Emily Smith,
Susan Steensland, Saiah Allen, Gabe Keckler, Riley Krummen, Tanner
Palmer, Landon Stephen, and Amanda Obeso. Sarah Smith earned the
French Seal of Biliteracy.
Kylie Nichols was awarded the Partner in Education Award
from the Missouri Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).
Kelsey Houston, early childhood special education teacher at the ECC,
was awarded the Missouri State University Beginning Teacher of the
Year.
High Pointe’s Math Team competed in the Southwest
Missouri Regional competition in Bolivar. All five of High
Pointe's competing students finished in the top half of the
contest. Hailey Rosati finished 5th overall and qualified for
the state competition.
At the COC art show, Nixa took home three of the top four awards,
along with top places in each category.
Nixa High School seniors, Raegan Allen, Shelby Berry, Emma Roesler, &
Arianna Swensen, were named National Merit Finalists and are among
the nation’s top 15,000 students.
