Ocean City Dog Playground to See Improvement
The Ocean City Dog Playground, located at the
back of the 94th Street Little Salisbury Park, will benet
from the Town’s talented Public Works, Engineering and
Parks staffs teaming up to reshape the park’s footprint.
During the month of August 2019, the relocation of the
park’s stormwater management pond and the lling and
grading of existing low and unsuitably wet spaces, is expected
to increase the park’s usable size by nearly 60%.
New fencing, irrigation, top soil and grass are expected
to be included in the “Phase I” effort. A grant request will
be led with the Department of Natural Resources for a
“Phase II” effort, which could begin as early as Fall 2020
if the grant funding is awarded.
The “Big Dog” section of the Dog Playground will
be closed during construction.
