sent for some. I searched for the right
string, and wrote to ask you if it was
OK and if I should knot the ends. You
replied by sending a beautiful photo
of Our Lady and writing on Mary’s
sleeve, “The string is fine, you don’t
have to knot them” - no name and no
date. I put this beautiful black and
white picture in John’s room on the
radiator. No one has access to this
room. In October 2011, I went to my
place at church and tacked by one pin,
I saw the picture of Mary, black and
white, in the right hand corner were
written your words. The same image
to every detail as the one I had at
home. I immediately wrote to you to
ask if you might have sent this picture
out to others. You replied, “NO!” It
could only have been placed there by
Mary. I returned home to search for
the print I had in John’s room and it was
gone. Not only was John in Heaven but
also Mary was so loving, understanding
and compassionate; She had heard
my prayers. She truly is MY Mother,
YOUR Mother and OUR Mother!!! I did
my job; I kept my promise. To me, this
is what marriage is all about.

I would like to share with you how
St. Philomena helped me in my sickness.
I suffered from inflammation of the
lungs. My condition was severe and
lasted for nearly three months. I took
antibiotics, but to no avail. The doctors
were helpless to find a cure and said
only God could help me. I began a
Novena to the Saint and was using her
holy oil every day. After the 9-day
Novena was completed, I began to
experience some relief from my sickness.
Now I am healed. Since that time,
we keep St. Philomena oil in our
home and combine it with traditional
medicine. This keeps us happy and
healthy. We received the holy oil
from Fr. Kolodiy at our Center.

I am in the Mother Butler’s Guild and
active in the social work of our parish.
Last year, my health deteriorated and
I underwent dialysis. Jose La Rosa gave
me some of the St. Philomena holy oil
and a blessed cord. I was faithful in
using these and praying to this dear
Saint. Today, I am healed. The dialysis
was successful and I am active once
again in our parish. < Faye Carillo

My grandmother, Erminelda Balais,
had stage-4 endometrial cancer which
had spread throughout her body. The
doctors gave her 6 months to live.
This was in December 2018. On April
26, 2019, we took her to a private
hospital where she was diagnosed with
pulmonary edema and congestive
heart failure. However, through the
powerful intercession of St. Philomena,
she is alive and strong. Although she
is thin, she still glows with life.
