Andrew
Davidson
This year’s design competition focused
on redesign of an actual office
building courtyard in Melbourne,
Florida. FANN and the Native Plant
Horticulture Foundation partnered
with the University of Florida’s College
of Design, Construction and
Planning to work with the spring
planting design studio class. A team
of seven judges, including landscape
architects and experienced native
landscape installers, chose Andrew
Davidson’s design as the one most
capable of being installed and maintained
as the designer intended.

“Pursuing a degree in landscape
architecture is the best
decision I have made in my
entire life. The more I learn
about the profession, the
more my desire grows like
wildfire. Landscape Architecture
is the keystone discipline
that enables the innovative
and sound designs of the future.
My goal is to always educate
the public about the
benefits of native plants as
well as to promote the use of
native plants in design.”
