Stitching Your Blocks
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
To begin, hoop a piece of no show mesh stabilizer to fit your
hoop and load your design (we are stitching GCSHEEP
for our example since the Farm designs will have more
detailed appliqué steps). Run the first step in the design,
which will be a squaring stitch for your batting.
Take a piece of batting and place it over the squaring
stitches, being sure to cover them on all sides.
C D
Proceed to run the tacking stitch for the batting. Now, use scissors to trim away the excess batting from the
tacking stitches.
E F
Once trimmed, your block should look something like this.
IMPORTANT: If you are stitching an OCEAN block, lay your
base fabric right side up at this time, run the tack down
stitch, and proceed to step N.
Run the next design step, which will be a placement stitch for
the center base fabric.
