What is your business/career?
Well...Art Director/Graphic Designer for 30yrs, Property
Manager and Baker... you name it. Now I guess I’m retired
but I’m always looking for somewhere to put my “2 cents”
When is the last time you danced?
Just a few weeks ago when my husband and I finished
a really messy project, we broke out the moves and
celebrated. That’s just how we roll.
What is your biggest fear?
Going Blind. My Dad lost one eye after an accident and I
was at home during that time in his life. It’s very difficult.
If I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t find my
glasses I immediately panic. If it were to become real, I
would surely loose my mind.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
The team that I brought together when I was working in
California, were the most talented designers, writers and
photographers and the best people that I know. Twenty
years later and 2500 miles away, we’re still friends.
I’m very blessed.
What is your favorite book to read?
Black Swan was a fantastic book. I highly recommend
it if you’re interested in art, love and history.
What or who makes you laugh the most?
My Grammy could always make me laugh. When she was
teasing my dad, she could throw some zingers.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Summertime. Once on a trip to Rosarita Beach, Mexico,
I entered a contest and an English lady told me “you sound
like an old black lady.” I guess I was channeling my inner
Ella Fitzgerald.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life,
what would it be? I would be very sad. My food choices
are like my music preferences— all over the map. I like
Ethnic food, Indian, Mexican and Thai, but a good
mid-western Elk roast with my moms rice pilaf is just as good.
What’s your favorite life motto?
Be kind.
