Royal Palm Players
For those interested in seeing friends and locals perform,
Royal Palm Players has decided to formally postpone their
live entertainment until the 2021-2022 season. While they
adjusted to safety recommendations, the group managed to
cast their shows through auditions on Zoom and Skype. The
Board of Directors is determined to fi ll the auditorium with
laughter and tears next year, for the show must go on!
RPP hopes to present several live shows this winter in
outside venues, and patrons are encouraged to continue
checking their website, royalpalmplayers.com, for updates.
RPP President Ann Fletcher is looking forward to starting the
New Year on the right foot. “We hope you will continue to
support Boca Grande’s own community theater,” she said.
“We are vibrant today and will be tomorrow, thanks to you
– our loyal supporters. The shows will go on! Corona will go
away! RPP is here to stay!”

Spark Boca Grande’s YouTube channel, Spark
Boca Grande TV, is alive and well. Founder and
CEO Erica Ress Martin has worked to bring a
series spoof called the ‘Boca Boys,’ with plans to
continue comedy sketches over the holiday
season. As far as live shows, the group has not
been able to plan for an audience to watch
safely in person. Productions will remain online
until they can bring actors and patrons together
again. Over the course of the off-season, Spark
has developed a way to incorporate new plays
into their entertainment through the New Works
Workshop. With the success of previous
livestreams, they plan receive submissions from
playwrights and create new content.
