The River Heritage Hall
focuses on our area’s maritime
history, and the Environmental
Hall is designed to educate
visitors about the past, present
and potential future of the
state’s natural environment.
From rivers to estuaries to the
Gulf of Mexico, as well as the
piney interior portion of the
state, this exhibit accentuates
our state’s biodiversity and the
need for more environmental
awareness.
The River Heritage Hall
The Rincon Gallery features
small, unique exhibitions
that feature little bursts of
information from the state’s
interesting make-up, including
specialty photographic events.

mastadon “Priscilla”

to The Bishop.
Other fossils and
models at the
80,000-square-foot-
Museum include
a saber cat, terror
birds, a megladon
jaw and more.
The Bishop features not only a large
amount of permanent exhibits to
learn from, they also have a constantly
changing lineup of temporary
exhibitions. This past year they had
several interactive and immersive
features, including “Water’s Extreme
Journey” and “Small Wonders,”
which featured an up close and
personal look at Florida’s insect
population. There are also regularlyfeatured
classes and presentations
