7. To reach early to the place of Eid salat:
Ibn Umar k narrated that the blessed
Prophet a departed for the place of Eid
salat early in the morning (Bukhari;
ûaml al-‘anazata bayna yadi al-imóm).
8. If one does not have a valid excuse,
walking to the Eid salat area is Sunna and
mustahab: Ali g says, “It is from the
Sunna that you walk to the place of Eid
salat and that you eat something before
you leave” (Tirmidhi; Fi al-mashyi yaum
al-‘õd)
9. If one does not have a valid excuse, then
praying Eid in the place of Eid salat.
Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri g narrates that
the Prophet a would go to the place of
Eid salat on Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha
(Bukhari; al-Khurñj ila al-mussalló bi
ghayri minbar).
10. To read the takbeer on the way to the
place of Eid salat: in a mursal narration
by Imam al-Zuhri, the Prophet a would
leave on the day of Eid Al Fitr reciting takbeer
until he reached the place of Eid salat.

11. To eat something before going for Eid salat
(in Eid al-Fitr): Burayda g narrates that
the blessed Prophet a would not leave on
the day of Eid until he ate something and
would not eat on the day of Eid al-Ad-ha
until he returned (Ibn Majah; Fi al-akli
qabla an ya’kula).
12. To take one route to the place of Eid salat
return on another: Jabir g says that the
Prophet a
day of Eid (i.e. coming and going from and
to place of Eid salat (Man khólafa al-øarõqa
raj‘a yaum al-‘õd).
13. To give charity according to one’s capacity:
Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri g says that the
Prophet a would leave on the day of Eid
and lead the people in two rak‘a, then
would say salam and stand facing the people
while they would be seated and would
say, “Give charity, give charity” (Ibn Majah;
