My name is Adrianne June, 28 years
old. I am a cradle Catholic and attend
Mass at Mary, Mother of God parish
Church, which is close to my house. It
gives me light, joy and hope to think
that my story might inspire others. I
was born blind in my left eye and with
really poor vision in my right eye. But,
I was able to live normally, study,
graduate and get a job. For 25 years, I
had my sight. A thought that I might
lose my vision entered my mind. Three
months later, I was diagnosed with
retinal detachment. I underwent two
major operations but, in spite of the
surgeries, my vision continued to
deteriorate. All I have left is light
perception. I became very sad because
it happened so fast. I used to bump into
things and struggle to find my belongings.
I felt lost for about a year. I met
someone who told me to pray the
Rosary. I used to pray it a lot with my
grandmother and so I decided to pray
it again. He recommended that I
listen to audiobooks of the Saints. I
listened to The Story of A Soul about
St. Térèse of the Child Jesus and The
Life of St. Philomena. Through prayers
and the inspiring stories of the Saints
and the Grace of God, I learned to be
patient, contented and find joy amidst
my sufferings. I am not cheerful of my
own capability. I am happy because
God helped me to find Him. Great was
my joy when I stopped seeing the
material world and, through God’s
Grace, I started to see the treasures that
are in Heaven. Praying is the only way
I can help others, given my current
state and condition. This is why I
wanted to join the Living Rosary.
Prayer is the only best way to be close
to God and it helps me to think clearly
and remain positive. Yes, I think
accepting our crosses, offering our
sufferings to God and praying is the
pathway to peace and happiness. I am
very happy to know you and thank you
for accepting me into the Association.

I visited Reanna today for the first
time in her new nursing home. She
reported that she had received many
favors from St. Philomena. Reanna
has been unable to walk since they
put her in an artificial coma to save
her life. She prayed to St. Philomena
and rubbed the holy oil on her legs.
She was able to walk 6 feet on the
parallel bars without extreme pain. She
put the picture of St. Philomena up in
her room. She is very enthusiastic and
sincere. I do not know much about her,
but this lovely Martyr works miracles!

Here is a small donation in thanksgiving
for my daughter’s successful,
bone marrow transplant. She had the
normal side effects for three days but
all swelling, chest pain and nausea was
gone in 3 weeks’ time. Her breathing
and appetite have improved by the day.
With home PT, she will regain her
normal strength.
God has given her
so many graces that
we will never be
able to thank Him
enough for His Love
and Mercy. With
much gratitude and
love,
