Introducing The Cigar Cave
By Steve Fiske
The constant traffic
hustles by on Hwy U.S.
19 in Tarpon Springs
oblivious to the oasis,
of sorts just off of the
Westside of the highway in a strip mall that
looks so much like dozens of other local area
shopping plazas. Only this one is quite
different. This is where one may find refuge in the
“CIGAR CAVE”,a one of a kind venue where adults
may relax and enjoy the lifestyle and pleasure of a good
cigar.
The Cigar Cave is owned by John Aslan, who has
enjoyed a couple of decades of successful experience
in the trade. From his
humble beginnings
of selling
cigars in his
house, he
has realized
his vision
to create the
largest Cigar
Lounge, complete
with Beer
and Wine and a VIP
Room.
The “cave” is hardly that. It is a sizeable venue with
large inviting leather reclining chairs and a state of the
art air circulation system. They must be doing
a host of things right as their core customer
base comes from all over the Tampa Bay area.
The Cigar Cave is spacious, comfortable and
relaxing.
The special VIP Room (sponsored by cigar
legend Rocky Patel) has a 1,000 square
foot walk-in humidor and seating for up to 70
people. There are 8 large LCD/HD TV screens
and always have the big games available. The
combined common area has over 5,000 square
feet of well designed seating, product displays and a
bar. Three top of the line air filtration units help pick up
a significant amount of smoke. These “smoke eaters”
have high capacities to pick up the impurities in the
air, making it a more enjoyable
experience for all.
The pleasant atmosphere is
attracting more couples and
women than ever. “Women
feel comfortable here”, says
Dan Schillaci, Day Manager.
Cigar City has a 300 member VIP customer program
and it even has lockers to meet customer requests.
There are significant discounts and incentives for members,
who pay only $50 per year for special privileges.
With an inventory
of over 4,000
different cigars, a
full line of accessories
including by
customer request
high-end Dupont
and Brizard (made
by Louis Vuitton)
products and quality
wines as well
as an impressive
line of craft beers, there is something for every taste
and budget. The extensive inventory of wines and beers
pair well with the cigars. They even serve espresso and
cappuccino. Live Jazz is played on Saturday night.
WFLA 970 AM Radio personality and cigar aficionado,
Cigar Dave says that the Cigar Cave; “is the
standard” for the industry. It’s no wonder why they
have a very loyal and
growing customer base
and customers who come
from every corner of the
country who have heard
about this special venue.
No doubt they are attracted
to the ambiance,
product selection, prices
and service.
The Cigar Cave is
