and manager of Coconuts Comedy Club, Tampa Bay’s
longest running comedy club. The club was voted three
times the #1 Comedy Club in the Tampa bay area by the
Tampa Bay Times. With over a 20 year history behind it
in the Tampa Bay area, Coconuts knows its market and
has the connections to bring in some of this country’s best
up and coming comedic rising stars. This is not just about
stand-up comics either. They cover the whole comedic
genre’ such as ventriloquists, stand-up comics, comedy
magicians, comedy hypnotists and musical parody acts.
Larry is himself a seasoned and well respected comedian,
who Emcees the shows, much to the delight of his
audience. One never knows what to expect on any given
Saturday night. Larry has been in this business for most
of his career. Prior to operating the 100 seat Coconuts
Comedy Club for 18 years, he is the former owner operator
of the Cinema Café’ in Clearwater, a restaurant and
has, produced many open mike events. The theatre has
recently undergone a number of renovations, including a
new deck, air conditioner and interior remodeling.
Shows usually last around 2 hours and usually cost
around $10.00, a bargain, especially considering the quality
of talent and the fun-filled evening. Larry’s shows
may also be used for special events and fundraisers .
Groups and organizations may use the theatre facilities for
special events, or elect to have Larry produce an event
for them at another venue.
