Blondie, Bow Ties and Beer
This inaugural benefit for the Community Dental Clinic, held at the Dunedin Fine Art Center, was “knot” just another fundraiser.
Guests wore crazy bow ties, ate Dagwood-style sandwiches and had homemade “Blondies” for dessert, as they danced the night
away to Public Option, a local band. The Clinic addresses the lack of dental care for low-income families in Mid and Upper-Pinellas
County through volunteer service and community partnerships.
Dean Young, who helped make the event a success
through his “Blondie” cartoon characters, and his
wife Charlotte were the honorary chairs of this
benefit.
Cindy Heller and her husband Steve, president
of the Community Dental Clinic, were proud of
the success of this inaugural fundraiser.
Dunedin City Commissioner Bruce Livingston,
the vice president of the Dental Clinic’s board,
and his wife Deidra lent their enthusiasm to the
event.
Alexa and Leigh Heller attended with their parents Cindy
and Steve Heller and Leigh’s fiancé Monica Fleming.
Trudy and John Cooper were among the guests
who helped make the evening special, with
John donning a sporty tie.
