MIA DILENA (Ellenore) is originally
from Toronto. Mia graduated from The
Ailey School in NYC. Dance credits include
Shaping Sound: Dance Reimagined,
Helix Dance Project, Conteur, Bridge To
Artists, TOES FOR DANCE, Springboard
Danse Montréal (2009, 2010 and 2011),
and the Canadian musical DANCER,
choreographed by Stacey Tookey. Film
credits include Disney’s The Music Man
and From Time to Time (Bravo). Mia is
thrilled to join the cast of After the Curtain
with Shaping Sound again.
JAY JAY DIXONBEY (Edwin) is a
native of Detroit, Michigan. Performance
credits include; Shaping Sound: Dance
Reimagined and the Oscars 89th Academy
Awards 2017. Jay Jay works frequently
with LA choreographers; Brooke Pierotti,
Kirsten Russell, Andrew Winghart, Dana
Chapman Carroll, Nick Lazzarini and
Teddy Forance. He is the Artistic Director
for his family’s dance studio Power Dance
Company in West Bloom eld, Mich. He
is very proud and honored to have this
opportunity.
RORY FREEMAN (Luther) most recently
performed in Sonya Tayeh’s full length
show: you’ll still call me by name. He was
a featured soloist on America’s Got Talent
Season 11. Rory has worked with Taylor
Swift, Paula Abdul, and Earth, Wind &
Fire. Freeman has performed all over the
world with the dance company MOMIX.
Proudly, he earned his BFA in Dance from
SUNY Purchase College.
KATE HARPOOTLIAN (Rose) trained
at the Columbia City Jazz Dance Company
under the direction of Dale Lam. Her
work credits include Carrie Underwood’s
“Something in the Water,” Dancing with
the Stars, Merce Cunningham’s Inlets II,
Boardwalk Empire, Ellen, So You Think
You Can Dance Season 12, Billy Bell’s
Lunge Dance Collective and works by Jason
Parsons. She is the 2nd place winner of the
2016 Capezio A.C.E. Awards and currently
enjoys working and choreographing
with young students across the country.

MICHAEL KEEFE (Clyde) is from
Massachusetts. He trained at NYU’s
Tisch School of the Arts. Tours include:
Rasta Thomas’ Bad Boys of Dance, Tap
Stars, Rhythmic Circus and tours with
recording artists JoJo and Hilary Duff.
LA credits: VMA’s with Kelly Clarkson,
Movement One, a dance documentary, and
Shaping Sound’s short lm collaborating
with Olafur Arnolds. Michael travels the
country teaching and choreographing.
Michael is very excited to be on tour with
Shaping Sound and to dive into this role!
LINDSAY LEUSCHNER (Vera) grew
up in Toronto. She appeared on So You
Think You Can Dance Canada, TIFF’s
Tiny Dancer lm, God The Father (with
Emmy® Award-winning cinematographer
Vilmos Zsigmond), A Russell Peters
Christmas Special and Mia Martina’s
“Heartbreaker” music video. She has
performed at the Minskoff Theatre for
Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS,
PanAm Games 2011 Closing Ceremony,
Eryn Waltman’s Conteur Dance Company,
and Carly Rae Jepsen at the Juno Awards.
She travels teaching with Jump Dance
Convention.
CHANNING COOKE (Swing, Associate
Choreographer) grew up training in
Boston under the direction of Karla
Pattavina. A few credits include Dancing
With The Stars, The XFactor, Billy Bell’s
Lunge Dance Collective, SYTYCD Season
6, The 82nd Annual Academy Awards®,
Two and a Half Men and the VMA’s with
Florence and the Machine. She also is on
faculty at NUVO Dance Convention and
loves traveling and working with students

Forest, California and graduated from
