bites & bubbles
Savannah’s restaurant selection has grown over the years,
and places to eat on Tybee have become year-round. Plus,
these two cities have also been adding specialty, custom
cocktails created by Mixologists. For those looking for
insights on where to find the best food and beverage
selections, this page offers some suggestions. Whether
trying these suggestions, or going it on your own, you will
enjoy the diverse culinary experience and unique cocktails
along the way.
FRESH
SEAFOOD!
Tybee’s The Crab Shack, Bubba Gumbo’s and Coco’s
Sunset Grille all serve seasonally fresh seafood along with
stunning sunset views. On the south end of the island is
Stingray’s Seafood, owned by a former shrimper, serving
fresh shrimp and crab when in season and Bernie’s Oyster
House with an abundance of steamed, raw and fried
seafood. Enjoy the people watching! A new restaurant
found mid-island, Salt Island Fish & Beer is a balanced
combination of traditional beach, rustic ambiance and
modern flair.
UNIQUELY
GOOD!
Also located at Mid-Island Tybee, The Deck Beach Bar
and Kitchen is one of Tybee’s newer restaurants offering
fantastic beach front views of the Atlantic Ocean and
serving made-from-scratch plates using fresh, flavorful
ingredients with surprising twists on classic beach fare.
Heading to the north end are 80 East Gastropub offering
a coastal pub experience with focus on craft beer and
gourmet pub food and Sundae Café featuring Southerninspired
dishes focused on seafood and steaks along with
delicious homemade deserts. In Savannah’s Historic district
and same owners as the Deck, Collins Quarter delivers a
unique cafe experience by pairing specialty coffee with
innovative cuisine. B. Matthew’s Eatery is a one-of-a-kind
bistro featuring a variety of traditional and new Americanstyle
dishes using fresh, seasonal, high-quality ingredients
sourced locally.
FAMILY
FRIENDLY!
Kids welcome! For breakfast and early lunch, try The
Breakfast Club featuring homemade sausages, grits,
French toast, omelets and a variety of fresh breakfast
items; and Sunrise Restaurant offering a breakfast bar
and specialty omelets on Tybee’s South end. Along with
these two favorite breakfast places, Fannie’s on The
Beach and Rock House Original Bar & Grill serve lunch
and dinner. Pizza anyone? Huc-a-poo’s on the North end
and Lighthouse Pizza, with locations on the North and
South end serve the best pizza in town. Blowin’ Smoke in
historic Savannah is a Savannah original serving in-house
pecan-smoke BBQ, sandwiches, tacos, and more, all with a
Southwestern influence.
