name, but didn’t have a clue what they actually
did until I started working here. It was enlightening
to see what was being manufactured
right under my nose. I want the city to know
what it is we do. We have good products and
excellent people,” Recla said.
The Nixa Chamber and Nixa Public Schools
hope to expand their participating in Manufacturing
Day in the future as a way to show both
career opportunities in the area as well as
businesses that are active in the Nixa community
that students might not know about.
“Businesses across Missouri tell us that
workforce is a major issue and that it’s increasingly
difficult to find the employees they
need for the jobs they have. This problem is
especially pronounced in manufacturing, where
outdated stereotypes about factory work help
to drive people away from today’s good paying,
high-tech production jobs,” said Daniel P. Mehan,
Missouri Chamber President and CEO.
