Getting to Know
Bill Sahadi
Fore Properties, owner
"All Things Moore County," producer / host
In looking back over your career, would
you change anything? I wouldn’t change one
thing. I am so thankful for where I am and how
I’ve learned a lot of things the hard way.
What do you wish you would have known
before starting your career? When you serve
others, then they’ll serve you. If you genuinely
serve others, then your circles will grow.
If you had a free day in Moore County, what
would you do? I love watching how people relate
here in town, how they live, how they enjoy
life here. I feel like I’m in a Norman Rockwell
painting; I just love the atmosphere as it makes
me feel peaceful and whole. I enjoy the slower
pace.
What are your hobbies? Working is a hobby.
I’m also a shaving collector. I love helping
people and paying it forward.
Favorite restaurant? I like 195, Ironwood,
Fratellos, Curt’s Cucina, and especially these
days, the Grape
Leaf Bistro.
Moore County
is? The best place
to live; the best
place to work;
and the best place
to raise a family.
What do you
think about the
explosion of
growth in Moore
County? I am all
for growth, but
I’m all for controlled
growth. I
don’t want anything
to ever hurt
the charm of the
neighborhoods
with which I first
fell in love in
1979. Some areas
have lost their
charm, but the areas who have maintained
their charm have become more valuable. It’s
the Courier and Ives quality of Moore County
that I love the most. There is a Courier and Ives
quality to the Pinehurst Gazette.
How would you summarize your life experience?
I get to be true to my spirit, and I get to
GETTING TO KNOW con't. next column GETTING TO KNOW con't. next column
share this with others and hopefully make a difference
in someone's life. What else can you ask
for? I want everybody to be grounded, focused,
responsible & viable every single day of their
lives. I want people to live into their spirit and
not against it.
Favorite experience of selling real estate?
Marketing the Castle in 2006 was a turning
point for my career. Located on Shaw Road, the
Castle is an iconic Pinehurst landmark. When
the Castle
was listed
for sale, it
was in a
Chapter 15
bankruptcy.
(A
foreignowned
entity on
US soil).
The bankruptcy
attorney
interviewed
many
brokers,
and I was
selected
to handle
the sale of
the property
which
helped
to better
define me
in our Moore County market. At the time, I only
had 5 years of experience in the business; the
attorney saw my heart.
Unforgettable radio show guest? Meeting
Victoria Lopez, owner of a Habitat for Humanity
house, in 2012, was life–changing as it
introduced me to her family of 6 children, all in
their formative years at the time. That’s a story
I will never forget as I now see these children
growing up with a great work ethic and not a bit
of a sense of entitlement. ☐
