A distinctive community demands unique and
superb schools. Hobe Sound is no exception.
As a part of the Martin County School District,
which consistently ranks among the state’s
top-performing districts, Hobe Sound has a
proud and rich history in the education arena.
For students aged 1-5, the Hobe Sound
Early Learning Center provides a foundation
of kindergarten readiness skills in reading,
math, art, music and more. Founded in 1962,
it currently enrolls 140 children in full-day
programs.
Hobe Sound Elementary
School holds the title of the
Audubon Cooperative
Sanctuary. This means the
students and staff at this
K-5 school are active in
environmental programs and
case studies. It’s recognized
as a “green school” by Florida
Atlantic University’s Pine Jog
Environmental Education
Center for its approach to
environmental awareness that
incorporates school ground
enhancement, resource
conservation, curriculum
connections and community
involvement. In addition,
SeaWind Elementary School has fostered
an atmosphere in which care, respect,
responsibility, and a love of learning are
at the forefront of their mission. SeaWind
Elementary offers a wide range of programs
and clubs to supplement its respected
academic programs.
Following elementary school, children
attend Murray Middle School. The school is
described as “a community accountable to
all stakeholders for the personal growth and
academic success of all students through
collaboration, respect, and a safe
environment for all.”
