Nashville Walls Project allows the community
to be involved in the process by inviting the
public to watch the artist paint and ask him or
take anywhere from one to two-weeks. “If you’re
in town and see that a mural is being painted,”
said Boros, “make sure to come and check out
the process. A lot of people ... watch these
artists paint, which is a lot of fun. Also, watching
these artists in action is very entertaining and
interesting.” Boros believes in the power of
art, but she knows that it is subjective. She
and her partner, Grief, want people to become
comfortable in engaging intellectually with art.
wonderful tool.
“We also want to create neighborhoods and
public spaces that are inviting and friendly
towards children and youth,” said Boros.
“Otherwise, without public art, they would just be
be found in all of the ‘hot’ neighborhoods in the
city, from 12 South where there is a mural called
piece at Montgomery Bell Academy.
