If you’re in town for the winter, there’s a good
chance you’re missing the company of loved
ones. The bad news is that there is no substitute
for the ones you love. The good news? Well,
there’s a whole lot going on in Middle Tennessee
to help get those holiday blues out of your heart,
and get you into the yuletide spirits. Here are a
few events worth checking out while you’re out
and about:
GLOW Nashville
The First Tennessee Park (19 Jr. Gilliam Way,
Nashville, TN, 37219) is home to the Nashville
Sounds, but after baseball season, the
possibilities of other events are wide open. GLOW
Nashville will open the doors this year to a new
endeavor -- a brand-new holiday experience that
wants to be a “one-stop attraction” this winter.
The eventmakers behind Rock the Ocean’s
Tortuga Music Festival (winner of the ACM
Award for music festival of the year in 2017), are
the personnel behind GLOW. They have made
events for NIKE, TED, and Starbucks, as well
as holiday attractions around the globe. With

Christmas wonder as soon as they step onto the
“When we started building the vision for GLOW,”
says CEO Chris Stacey, “we sourced inspiration
from the greatest Christmas attractions around
the world. We cherry-picked the greatest
components and are bringing all of this to
Nashville. We really set out to create the event
that we’d want to bring our own families and
friends to... That’s exactly what we have done,”
says Stacey, “so we are bringing a world-class
production to Music City.”

Per Stacey, the size of GLOW is hard to explain
until you see it, and even imagining a baseball
sculptures with twinkling enchantment doesn’t
do it justice. There’s plenty of space for people to
have a good time just for them. “The stadium’s
suites and other premium areas will be available
for VIP and private holiday parties with the best
views of the lights,” Stacey tells Nashville Notes.
“There will also be festive food and beverage
experiences throughout the concourse, plus
musical performances and a curated marketplace
featuring Nashville artisans and vendors.”
GLOW is a 36 night immersive experience,
offering “unparalleled holiday magic and
unforgettable photo-worthy moments” from
November 22 through December 31. Tickets are
