CITY PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS
Hutchinson boasts many quality parks including seven which rank
in the top 10% nationally. From splash pads to disc golf courses,
a skate park to tennis courts, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and
even a zoo - there is truly something to do for everyone!
100 - 148 South Main Street
Located right off the Woodie Seat Freeway, this gem serves as
the gateway to downtown. Just a short walk from a variety of
shopping and dining destinations, enjoy a stroll along the creek,
linger by the permanent sculptures and enjoy live music from the
gazebo during events such as Third Thursday. A natural gathering
place, Avenue A park comes alive with community year-round.
George Pyle Park
118 S. Poplar Street
George W. Pyle Park is in the heart of downtown. Nestled
between the Reno County Museum, City Hall and the historic
Memorial Hall, it is a perfect place for a picnic lunch, fun with the
kids on the playground, or even a small wedding at the gorgeous
gazebo.
2911 E. 43rd Avenue
One of Hutchinson’s newest parks, it encompasses 72 acres
and continues to be developed. One unique feature is The
Winwoods Enchanted Playground, which is designed to be enjoyed
by children of all ages and abilities. Set among fantastical
characters, it includes special slides, swings, a teeter-totter, and
xylophones the children can play.

Need to cool off, but don’t have time for a trip to the pool? Visit
one of Hutchinson’s three interactive water parks. These parks,
operated by the City of Hutchinson, are open to the public and
provided free of charge Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Carey Park provides endless possibilities for fun surrounded by the
beauty of nature. Enjoy the scenery as you walk or bike the trails.
Spend an afternoon with the kids by the pool at Salt City Splash.
And don’t forget the Hutchinson Zoo! With numerous
playgrounds, picnic shelters, ball fields, a skate park, a dog park
