foodie culture - horizon west style
H orizon West is rapidly rising in the culinary
ranks, attracting diners with its growing list
of one-of-a-kind concepts to legendary
favorites from all over Central Florida. With access to
everything from fast-casual to fine dining and a view
of nightly fireworks, it's no surprise that the people who
call Horizon West home are emerging foodies!
It wasn't long ago that residents had to hop on
the expressway to grab a bite, but as Horizon West
continues to grow, so does its food scene. The
village-centric design of Horizon West has made it
possible to create food culture – no travel required. Each
village center continues to expand dining options with
influences from around the world as well as fine dining
options featuring signature dishes, crafted cocktails and
select wine and beer lists.
The first-established village of Lakeside kicks off the
culinary list. Keke's, First Watch, and Barley & Hops,
offer brunches that are the final word in Sunday
Funday. Watching the game is best done on the big
screens. Gators Dockside offers delicious eats with
plenty of space for the whole crew. And delivery is
available from local favorites like Tijuana
Flats, Flippers Pizzeria or Little Greek.
The Hamlin area of our Horizon West
Town Center has made a name for
itself in Central Florida as the destination
spot to watch. Chef Francois Paille
of The French Café delights diners with delicious French
favorites, complete with market patio seating making
it the embodiment of the HW lifestyle. The
Pizza Press caters to the casual side of the Town
Center set with its newsworthy pizzas, live music and
no fuss craft taps. Add in the Great Greek, offering
exceptional Greek fare in a friendly, fast-casual setting.
And finally, Ford's Garage, an ode to Americana, with its
car-themed vintage parts, photos and memorabilia, is
on track to join the ranks in Hamlin East soon.
The Horizon West village of Bridgewater has seen an
explosion of flavors in its general area! Whatever you
crave, you'll find it here. As of early 2020, HUMBL,
Burger-Fi, Bruster's Real Ice Cream, Clean Juice and a
second location of The French Café are serving up their
specialties, while Agave Azul, Poke Hana and Josie's Pizza
and Wings are set to open their doors later in 2020.
Long-time favorites include Bella Tuscany, Tao Asian and
Bella Italia who stand strong alongside new additions.
All great food deserves an event to highlight the
"have to try" items on everyone's menus. Mark your
calendars for Flavor Fest, Nov. 7, 2020 for a tour of tastes,
bite night style, featuring the must haves of all
the eats in town. It's an immersive experience
of the best Horizon West has to offer!
