Behind the Tape…

“Have some water. You’re going to need to stay hydrated if you want to stay
healthy.”
Brian gulps the water as fast as Richie allows until the glass is empty.
He didn’t realize how thirsty he was. Richie sets the empty glass on the
bar and walks around behind Brian, out of his sight.
“So, what are you cooking up?” Brian asks, and tries to turn his head to
look at Richie.
Richie pulls a pair of clipping sheers from his utility belt and grabs
Brian’s left pinky and ring fingers. “Oh, just some finger foods.” And with
one swift and powerful squeeze, Richie cuts Brian’s two fingers off.

LIGHTHOUSE
Hello everyone and welcome back! Seems like things are slowly
but surely getting back to business as usual out here. I hope
everyone is finding a way to get some enjoyment out of the summer,
even without Beach Bum, Orange Crush, and Fourth of July
fireworks. As I’m sure none of you are surprised, a little pandemic
didn’t slow us down any at the police department. And now that
things have reopened, we’re busier than we have ever been.
Since the reopening, it seems like everyone is hitting the booze
way harder than normal. I’d say in a given day 90% of the people we
talk to have been drinking. Just a few weeks ago we dealt with two
friends who had come here on vacation. They started the night off
strong by getting in a light fist fight in their rental. After that they
followed this up with another fight in front of the bars. After that they
came back to their rental, ready to go to bed, but had to fight each
other in the street one last time. At this point enough was enough,
and they both had to go to jail. The next day we had to go over to the
rental property, because in the span of maybe five hours they had it,
they were able to completely trash the inside and get blood from
their fight on everything. Then to add to the mystery of what exactly
they had been doing that whole night, three weeks after, someone
found one of their wallets on the roof of a condo on Atlantic Ave.
behind Sandbar.
At this point you might be saying, “Richie what are we supposed
to learn from this story?” And I can confidently say, “I have no idea.”
We all know normal people don’t act like that but we also know not
everyone that comes to Tybee is normal. Anyway, hope everyone has
a great month, at this time there’s no ETA for when VIP might start
back up, but we will be keeping everyone informed.
