Happy Birthday, America!!!! Let’s all take a minute and be thankful for
whatever you have that makes you happy, whether it’s family, friends, your health,
your house, your fur baby or shopping on Amazon for items that you don’t need.
Let’s get to July! Still kind of wonky getting things scheduled and due to our
print schedule, we are a little behind, but make sure you check our Facebook page
for daily updates on social happenings and good food as we receive them from the
City and local businesses. Our Social Goddess, Betsey, is on top of it!
Moving on to the Name Nick’s Boat Contest, we have decided to run it for
another month due to Covid-19. So, keep those boat names coming!
You know we love contests here at the Beachcomber and this one is silly as it
gets and I love it! Bonnie Parker, owner of Mattress Gallery & Sleep Shop, is so
enamored with the new pink flamingo on her ad that she wants to name HIM! The
winner of the Flamingo Naming Contest wins a free pillow! You don’t realize what
a good pillow can do for your life until you have one! Email or text your entries
to me by July 15 to info@tybeebeachcomber.com or (912) 675-5261! Let’s be
creative and also PG-13ish.
As always, we try to mix things up and add new stuff. This month, I had another
epiphany, which as we know could go either way, but this one is great! A new
article called Pervy Pet of the Month. I started off with my own Purl the Girl
or The Big Stretch. I captured that perfect picture of her where she is all allure
and what are you doing later saucy looking! Get a picture of your pervy pet to
me with a description of their likes and dislikes. The winner each month won’t
receive anything but the glory of having a picture of their pet in the island’s premier
magazine! Let’s see how many pervy pets we have out there!
Contest #3! The Traveling Beachcomber! Chris and Jane Hall packed us off to
the Turks & Caicos for their 30th anniversary (now 31 years!). Thank y’all for taking
us with you! We haven’t been there before! Off to A-J’s with you!
