Michael Otero is a shing enthusiast, he has engaged in deep sea, freshwater
and y shing. His favorite rodeos are Montgomery, AL Fort orth, T San
Antonio, T, and Pendleton, OR. Comedies are his favorite lm genre and his
favorite book is the Bible. He credits Bill Stewart with “teaching me everything I
know about roping.” Otero is married to barrel racer Carlee Pierce-Otero.

record 23.0-second me on three head. The previous three-head Tie-Down
Roping average record at the San Angelo Rodeo was 23.5 seconds, set by
Timber Moore in 2014. Otero earned $13,263 – $7,187 for capturing the
average. He started on a roll, placing second in the rst round aer stopping
the clock in 7.1 seconds. He followed that with a solid, 8.1-second run,
seng the stage for the nals.
