(Vernal, UT), the Lehi (UT) Roundup, the Evanston (WY) Cowboy Days Inc.,
the Kit Carson County Fair & Rodeo (Burlington, CO), the San Luis Valley Ski-Hi
Stampede (Monte Vista, CO) and the Harrison (AR) PRCA Rodeo.
2016: Placed in four rounds to rank seventh at the Wrangler NFR. Finished
tenth in the world standings with $150,424. Won the RAM Wilderness Circuit
Finals Rodeo (Heber City, UT), the Pendleton (OR) Round-Up, the Jesse Andrus
& Mike Hillman Memorial (Roswell, NM), the Eagle (ID) Rodeo, the Lehi (UT)
Roundup, the olden Spike Rodeo (Tremonton, UT) and the Poway (CA) Rodeo.
Co-champion at the Horse Heaven Round-Up (Kennewick, WA).
The Wright family broke new ground in 2014 when four of them (Jesse, Jake,
Cody and Spencer) all ualied for the WNFR in the same year. A documentary
crew from Southern Utah University followed Cody’s uest for a world tle and
produced Born to Ride – the SUU crew was back in 2014 to do a piece on the
four Wright brothers in WNFR compeon. His favorite bucking horse is Calgary
Stampede’s Cool Alley. One of his favorite stops is the Ogden (UT) Pioneer Days
Rodeo. When Jesse in not compeng in rodeo, he helps his dad take care of his
family’s cale. He parcipated in baseball, basketball, wrestling and football
while in school and sll enjoys playing baseball. He follows a daily exercise
regimen, alternang between legs and upper body exercises. He likes to read
Porter Rockwell, listen to Alan Jackson and is a fan of the “Call of Duty”
video games.
