Hamilton Breaks Ground on the New Peeples Cancer Institute
Hamilton Medical Center recently broke
ground on a new comprehensive, stateof
the-art cancer institute to be named
the Peeples Cancer Institute, in honor of
local philanthropists Shelby and Willena
Peeples. “We are indebted to the Peeples
for their commitment to this project, not
only financially, but for their inspirational
advocacy and leadership,” says Jane
Snipes, executive director of the Whitfield
Healthcare Foundation.
The new freestanding, four-story cancer
institute will house a medical oncology
practice, as well as radiation oncology,
outpatient infusion, and breast and
diagnostic imaging services. Integrating
Hamilton’s cancer care services into
one building will improve patient access
and further build upon Hamilton’s
reputation for excellence in integrated
physician collaboration.
Peeples Cancer Institute will offer:
