If you have driven past Hamilton Medical Center lately, you have most likely seen a large building taking shape on Burleyson
Road. With its glass exterior and tree house-like design, Anna Shaw Children’s Institute certainly stands out. Likewise, when
it opens in the spring of 2019, the Institute will be a standout for the care of children in the tri-state region.
Dedicated to the memory of Anna Sue Shaw, Anna Shaw Children’s Institute will provide outpatient care for children
with developmental delays. Children will receive diagnoses, treatment, and support in an inviting and comfortable setting
designed for children of all abilities.
The exterior of Anna Shaw Children’s Institute features glass, wood, and mountain stone in a color palette of browns, greens,

Special consideration was given to differing preferences for light, sound, and texture. The Institute was designed from the
ground up to provide a unique and compassionate environment for the care and treatment of children.
