LATINA Style’s 25th Anniversary
By Gloria Romano-Barrera and Robert Bard
As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we reminisce about our accomplishments as an
organization and on the accomplishments of Latinas in the United States. LATINA Style’s
silver anniversary represents 25 years of doing what we do best — Empowering Latinas
One Woman at a Time. That’s the heart and soul of who we are — it’s what we set out to do 25
years ago and what drives every decision we still make today 25 years later and every decision we
will make going forward. Twenty-five years ago, our founder and
former editor Anna Maria Arias launched LATINA Style as a
stand-alone publication. She knew then that Latinas were at the
forefront and would be a force to be reckoned with.
Throughout the years LATINA Style has grown to become not
only a magazine but a resource for Latinas of all ages. From the
LATINA Style Business Series to the National LATINA
Symposium to the LATINA Style 50 Awards and Diversity
Leaders Conference, its ability to evolve with the marketplace has
kept us in business.
We share a few snapshots of the launch of LATINA Style
Magazine. With 25 years of experience, distinction, and
excellence behind us, we look forward to what’s next—adding to
our portfolio and enhancing our skill-set with the same success
we’ve seen these past 25 years. Thank you for taking part in our
history. We thank all our supporters, our subscribers, and all the Latino and Latina organizations
who have built a long-term partnership with us. We look forward to continuing to profiling the
successes of Latinas in the United States.
