Clements &
Wallace, P.L.
Mark Clements
Mark Clements is a third generation Lakelander and
has a highly specialized background in elder law.
Mark and Carol were classmates at Cumberland
School of Law and have always had a strong respect
and trust for one another. This dynamic duo calls their
method of working “an art, not a science, according to
Mark. They have formed a unique, collaborative law
firm to find the best solution for each client.
While many other firms have one attorney designated
to seniors, their partnership is solely dedicated to
elder law. Mark is a certified elder law attorney by
the National Elder Law Foundation. With over thirty
years of experience in elder law, families can have
peace of mind in knowing their loved ones’ affairs
are taken care of.
Carol Wallace
Sharp as a tack and with a full heart, Carol Wallace
guides many families through some of their most
stressful times at the Elder Law Firm of Clements
and Wallace, P.L. Clients are set at ease not only by
Carol’s compassion and kind demeanor, but also her
breadth of experience in elder law.
According to Carol, elder law kind of found her and
she found herself practicing it before it even had
a name! After graduating from The University of
Alabama with a degree in social work, she felt the urge
to go a different direction and attended Cumberland
School of Law. Carol then returned to Tuscaloosa and
joined the staff at The University of Alabama School
of Law, where she administered a grant to provide
legal services to seniors. She spent many nights in
the law library researching laws to protect seniors.
After a few years, Carol realized she had gained a
body of knowledge that few attorneys had. Carol is
a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder
Law Foundation and was the first attorney in Alabama
with this distinction.
