Take the second piece of stiffener and butt it directly up next to
the embroidered piece. Use spray adhesive to sandwich the
stiffener between both layers of fabric.

Using your sewing machine, run a top-stitch along the penciled
line.

Again, run a top-stitch along the penciled line.
Lay the joined pieces face down and make a pencil line 11⁄2” from
the folded edge.
Turn the project so the embroidered piece is facing up. Measure
7 1/2” from the previous top-stitching and mark inconspicuously
with a pencil. This mark should be just past the edge of the
stiffener.
You will now stitch along the edges of the sides that have not
been stitched. Stitch the long sides first starting at the point where
the embroidered panel is attached (as seen above).
