It’s not too early to be thinking about
running for an ORRA leadership position
in 2020!
The ORRA Board of Directors will
soon be accepting applications for 2020
elected leadership positions, including
president-elect; treasurer; secretary; and
director (four positions available).
To qualify, candidates must complete
the ORRA Leadership Institute by the end
of their first year in off ice. Those who
haven’t already completed the Institute
may register for the program to be held
this spring/summer (visit orlandorealtors.
org for dates and to sign up).
Potential candidates must submit a
consent-to-serve form, which will be made
available on the ORRA website. Completed
consent-to-serve forms of qualified
candidates are made available for public
viewing on the ORRA website.
Forms must be returned on or before
5:00 pm on June 21, 2019 for review by
the ORRA Qualifications Committee. The
committee will conduct personal interviews
of each candidate who meets the
qualification requirements.
The leadership election will be held
electronically via the ORRA website on
September 23, 2019 – September 27, 2019
(starting at 12:01 am on the 23rd and
ending at 5:00 pm on the 27th).

ORRA is pleased to announce the
addition of two new staff members.
Amanda Ornelas has been named chief
operating off icer and Loren Gilbertson
has been named vice president of technology.
Amanda Ornelas
arrives at ORRA from
the Sun Valley (Idaho)
Board of REALTORS®,
where she served as chief executive off icer
of both the association and its foundation.
As ORRA’s new COO, Amanda
is a key member of its senior management
team and oversees all functions,
including member services; professional
development; and advocacy.
Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in
business management from Idaho State
University. Her professional designations
and credentials include REALTOR®
Certified Executive; Professional Standards
Administrator; and e-PRO.
Loren Gilbertson
comes to ORRA from the
Western Arizona Data
Exchange, where he
served as chief executive
off icer. Previously he served as MLS
director of the Greater Alabama Multiple
Listing Service and the Birmingham
(Alabama) Association of REALTORS®.
As vice president of technology (a
newly created position) Loren is responsible
for identifying and implementing
sophisticated technology that enhances
ORRA’s ability to provide top-tier service
to our 15,500-plus members. He is also
able to provide in-house staff training
and support for a wide range of the
REALTOR®- and MLS-related technology
products used every day by members.

ORRA YPN’s “20 Under
40” Rising Star in Real Estate
Awards for 2019 recognizes
today’s local REALTORS® under the age of
40 who demonstrate excellence in their
careers and in service to both their community
twenty under 40
and the real estate industry.
Any ORRA REALTOR® member who is
under age 40 as of May 31, 2019 is eligible
to apply to become an ORRA YPN's "20 Under
40" Rising Star in Real Estate Awards
recipient.
Online applications will be made
available on YPNOrlando.
com and must be submitted
by 5 pm on May 31,
2019. Questions on the
application include those
related to involvement in
ORRA, sales performance,
and community service. There are several
personal, short-answer essay questions
related to areas such as career objectives
and business philosophies.
Winners will be announced at the
ORRA YPN’s “20 Under 40” Rising Star in
Real Estate Awards celebration on August
28, 2019. Winners will also be featured in
an upcoming issue of Orlando REALTOR®
magazine.
