Moxxie: So, looking forward, you’ve got your new
pharmacy that’s being developed. Did you know
you were going to grow up and do this?
Kim: I always wanted to be in health care. My
mom worked for a doctor here in town and I had
an uncle who was a pharmacist. Growing up, my
uncle kept telling me from a young age, “You really
ought to think about pharmacy”. I eventually said
an entrepreneur and wanted to own a store, it just
took a long time to get there.
Moxxie: What’s one of the craziest things you’ve
ever done?
Kim: I would say two things and again, involving
an animal. I did a shark dive in South Africa and I
dove with manta rays in Hawaii one year.
Moxxie: So, what’s your superpower?
Kim: (laughing with her head in her hands) Dude...
Moxxie: I would say that your superpower is to
call bull easily and quickly.
Kim: Well, if that’s a superpower (still laughing).
It’s not always easy. It’s not easy to have those con-
with your family but you better have them, rather
than going the other route.
Moxxie: So, you’re a business owner, successful
in your industry, you have a beautiful marriage,
you’re an amazing photographer, and you’re clear-
dreams. What else is out there that you want?
Kim: I’ve already got my second store, so that
would be kind of, I don’t want to say a check mark
cause they’re not check marks, but if you’re sitting
there going, “What are the things I’d like to do?”,
that would have been the next one that were there.
I want to grow both of my locations into something
more than what they are in the community. Then
I just want to continue traveling and seeing the
world. That’s the biggest passion of mine.

Moxxie: What’s your fairytale ending? What’s at
the end of all of this? Where do you go?
Kim: The bucket list, man. The bucket list trips,
everybody’s got one. Nobody wants to call it the
bucket list but that’s what it is. I just call it “The
List”.
Moxxie: I know that you’re a huge promoter of
shopping and doing business local. You’ve always
been very passionate about that. How do we put
that message into an elevator pitch? And be nice
about it.
Kim: I truly believe in doing business with our
neighbors and friends and co-workers. When we
shop at big box stores, chains, whatever you want
to call them, the money goes to a corporate of-
on Russ Avenue and we’re constantly supporting
other businesses, other small businesses, and lo-
were at Bowl for Kids’ Sake for the Big Brothers Big
Sisters Program here in Haywood County. I got to
tell you; I didn’t see any of the big box pharmacies
there. So, I think just trying to get people to make
a conscious decision about where they spend their
money and to encourage them to put it somewhere
that gives back to their community in large num-
Moxxie: I think you’re amazing and I am so happy
to have had this opportunity. Thank you!
Kim: Thank you Nik.

fear of speaking to large crowds when she spoke
to 650 pharmacists in Dallas, Texas at a National
meeting of Pharmacists Buying Group, regarding
CBD oil. We are so proud of you, Kim!
