COMMUNITY GUIDE 2019 | 11
Welcome
Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.
Charlotte County is poised well for business and residential
development. It has superior schools with educational opportunities
for all ages. With historical museums, art galleries, local theatre groups
and more, it’s a supportive artistic community.
Our homes are settled on the lovely Charlotte Harbor, the Peace and
Myakka Rivers, and miles and miles of canals.
We enjoy warm temperatures year-round and, through most of the
year, very little rain. While our population is growing, we still enjoy
that small-town atmosphere.
Whether you want to visit or are about to relocate – whatever you’re
looking for – you’ll find it here. A fisherman’s dream. A boater’s
delight. Charlotte County is right for you.
LIFESTYLES
From historic homes on brick-lined streets to golf course
communities along the Myakka River, Charlotte County continues
to earn its reputation for subtropical living and vacationing at
its finest.
Pleasant family communities and parks are scattered throughout
the county. With excellent schools, the area takes pride in its youth
programs and educational system. Young families have discovered that
this is the place to live the ideal family life.
Many of the golfing communities, as well as retirement communities,
located here are the envy of the state. Manicured fairways and lawns
blend with the natural environment of subtropical Florida. The old
Florida lifestyle of horse farms, cattle ranches, farms and citrus groves
remains in the rural areas of Charlotte County. Waterfront homes
are available for every lifestyle, from family lakefront homes, homes
directly on the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor, to your own private
canal hideaway.
There’s something for everyone. Come see for yourself!
