“My primary goal is to allow students to connect to
Israel stronger than they ever have before, and to reach
more students in that same way. Equally, I hope to
continue to inspire and empower as many people as
possible to stand up as proud Zionists on campus.”
campus, making the role of ZOA Campus
more important than ever. The Campus
department recognizes a deep sense of disconnect
and misunderstanding regarding
Israel on college campuses, where it is magnified
amongst both students and professors.
This is why ZOA Campus activities are so
necessary throughout the country, as they
bring much needed perspectives to important
issues, in a way that is presented effectively for
a targeted audience.
Jonathan is proud to let students know that
Zionism is not a dirty word; it’s a badge of
honor instead. He is elated each time that
he is able to bring Jewish and non-Jewish
students to Israel on ZOA Student Leadership
Missions, to experience Israel themselves
and to see the reality firsthand. He
feels empowered when he educates students
about anti-Semitism, and satisfied when he
provides them with the knowledge and tools
to protect themselves and their civil rights.
Jonathan is also determined to spread the
fact that anti-Zionism is a form of anti-Semitism.
“Denying self-determination to Jews,
and only Jews, while affording that right to
all others is absolutely a form of anti-Semitism.
The State of Israel has the right to exist
in peace and security just like every other
nation.”
With renewed strength as he embarks on
this new chapter at ZOA, Jonathan elaborated
on his plans for a successful future on
campuses nationwide. “My primary goal is to
allow students to connect to Israel stronger
than they ever have before, and to reach
more students in that same way. Equally, I
hope to continue to inspire and empower as
many people as possible to stand up as proud
Zionists on campus.”
Well, Jonathan, we couldn’t think of anyone
more qualified to do that than you. We look
forward to much continued success as you
lead ZOA Campus!
