The recognition and acknowledgement of the tremendous good work
performed by ZOA was one of the common themes I kept hearing as I was
introduced as the Chairman of ZOA to new friends and colleagues.
We have also restructured our Israel office this past year,
creating “ZOA in Israel Ltd.” Our Israel office, led by Jeff
Daube, continues to contribute strongly to ZOA meeting
its objectives and goals, and we look forward to another
stellar VIP Leadership Mission to Israel this February, led
by our Israel office.
I am delighted to report on the elevation of Jonathan
Ginsburg to Managing Director of ZOA Campus. This is
a well-deserved promotion and a recognition of Jonathan’s
talents and importance to the organization. We have
appointed Campus Coordinator Or Taylor to Jonathan’s
previous position as Associate Director of ZOA Campus,
and we are pleased to also announce the hiring of Marlene
Artov as the Tri-State and Upstate New York Campus
Coordinator, based in New York City. She joins Nadav
Alkoby and Ben Schine in the Campus department’s vital
work at over 120 universities across the U.S.
For those ZOA contributors and members who have not had the opportunity to talk
to or meet our National Director of Marketing and Communications, Natalie Lazaroff, or
our National Director of Development, Matthew Bennett, I encourage you to do so. They
are a hugely integral part of our efforts to spread the news about ZOA’s excellent work and
effort, as well as help us raise the necessary funds to do so.
I want to thank our talented regional team, led by Talya Messeri, Director of Outreach &
Engagement, and regional directors Alan Jay, Deborah Peretz, Jonina Pritzker, Steve Feldman,
Stuart Pavilack, Kobi Erez, Sharona Whisler, and David Kadosh.
I also want to publicly thank and recognize our Executive Vice President, John Rosen, who,
in his role as our chief administrative officer, is of immeasurable help to Mort and me in
carrying out the organization’s objectives and goals.
I want to express our appreciation to our Chief Financial Officer, Ravi Namakkal, and
his team of Paul Basisty, Kamaala Emmanuel, and Jordan Silver. They have done a fantastic
job that not only resulted in a clean audit for the second year in a row, but also helped us
immensely on several important administrative initiatives.
I want to thank our National Office Manager, Nancy Hollander, Enid Roman, and Kelly
Ann Brown who help us run our operations so efficiently and smoothly all year round
and also assist with the annual Gala dinner, the VIP Israel Mission, the Capitol Hill Advocacy
Mission, and the innumerable Donor Society events and meetings that we hold in our beautiful
New York office headquarters. I want to thank Daniel Mandel for his superb research
and writing. I also want to thank our head of security, Jim Moore and his team, who help
protect us every day and do so with a cheery smile.
