Krav Maga lesson on campus
In addition, ZOA Campus in New York
and the Tri-State Area was very successful.
Throughout the spring, ZOA continued to
advance the cause of Zionism on numerous
college campuses. ZOA Campus hosted
various programs, including Krav Maga
self-defense seminars at Long Island University
48 ZOA Campus
- Brooklyn, Shabbat events at Cornell
University and Binghamton University, along
with guest speaking engagements at City
College, John Jay College, Rutgers University,
and Baruch College. Across the Northeast,
ZOA worked to strengthen important partnerships
by collaborating with allied pro-
Israel organizations.
ZOA Campus in the mid-Atlantic region
continued to build on its success by facilitating
strong Zionist programming. ZOA
Campus Associate Director Or Taylor organized
student efforts to bring expert speakers,
educational initiatives, and celebrations of
Israeli heritage to campus. These events build
the strength of the young pro-Israel communities
so that they have the tools and resources
to promote Zionism and fight anti-Semitism
effectively.
The Southeast region also produced significant
highlights to finish out the 2018-2019
academic year. Under Southeast Campus
Coordinator Benjamin Schine’s leadership,
ZOA Campus collaborated with leading
student groups and partner organizations
Rabbi Yehuda HaKohen in the mid-Atlantic
region discussing the upcoming Israeli elections
and other challenges facing the Jewish people
ZOA Midwest Campus Coordinator Nadav
Alkoby with students at a ZOA SodaStream
tabling event, which focused on spreading
messages of coexistence within Israel to a wide
campus audience
