For nearly two decades, she has been a valuable part of the AT&T
family where she advances AT&T’s public policy and philanthropic initiatives
through a variety of leadership positions with community and business
organizations.
Prior to joining AT&T, she was a senior legislative strategist on L.A. Mayor
Richard Riordan’s executive team, serving as Assistant Deputy Mayor for
Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs. In her role as Assistant Deputy
Mayor, she was responsible for oversight of the Mayor's local legislative
agenda, city council relations, community affairs as well as key liaison to the
Latino community.
Sanchez Cornejo is a graduate of the University of Southern California,
with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in
Public Administration.

Services. In this role, she manages a
large global team that provides
human resources and people services
to GM employees from GBS HQ in
Detroit. Her team’s global responsibilities include Payroll and Timekeeping,
Compensation, Benefits and Rewards, Talent, Shared Service Centers, and
User Experience, encompassing hire-to-exit processes.
Prior to her current role, she served as Human Resources General
Director, and Quality General Director for GM South America based out of
São Paulo, Brazil, covering Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador,
and Venezuela, being part of GMB Executive Committee, and GMSA Board of
Directors.
She has also held several leadership positions across GM in
engineering, manufacturing, and quality over 17 years. She has a passion for
improving employee experience, and business processes through service
quality and reducing complexity. A 27-year veteran of General Motors, she
previously held an additional international management responsibility in
quality in Europe.
She is a graduate of the Escola de Engenharia Mauá with a degree in
electrical and electronic engineering. She holds a master’s degree in
business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. She completed
Stanford University’s Transformation Leadership Development program in
2017, and the University of Michigan – Ross’ Effective Leadership in 2019,
both sponsored by GM.
Originally from São Paulo, her native language is Portuguese, but she is
also fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational in German.

experiences. Her team is focused on
leading the business, marketing, and
market development efforts of Intel Sports and Intel Studios. Lopez is also the
co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on VR/AR/XR.
Previously, she led and managed the Fashion wearable business in
Intel’s New Technology Group. Earlier in her Intel career, Lopez held various
roles within corporate marketing, including director of new business
marketing and director of consumer marketing. In the latter role, she led
Intel’s brand repositioning work to earn an Intel Achievement Award in 2010.
She also earned industry honors. In 2019, she was named Top Women
in Media and HITEC 100: The Most Influential and Notable Hispanic
Professionals in IT. In 2018, she was named Most Powerful Women in
Technology, Most Influential and Notable Hispanic Professional in Tech and
Sports Business Journal Game Changer. In 2015, she was named among the
Top 10 Latina Executives by LATINA Style, Inc.
Before joining Intel in 2005, Lopez worked at Adobe Systems Inc.,
Macromedia, Computer Associates International Inc. and several other
technology companies.
Lopez holds a bachelor of science degree in economics and textiles and
clothing from the University of California at Davis. In addition, she attended
the Stanford Intel Accelerator Program. As part of contributing to the
community, she is focused on building the next generation of women
leaders.
