ORRA announces purchase of a new headquarters
After a 10-year search process, new facility and campus will become a home befitting of Orlando REALTORS®
The 2019 ORRA Board of Directors, ORRA CEO Cliff Long, and representatives
from ORRA’s legal counsel attended a contract-signing ceremony in December to
commemorate the purchase of Orlando Executive Park.
NAR extends COE
training requirements
REALTORS® have until Dec. 31, 2021 to fill
The National Association of REALTORS® has permanently
extended its REALTOR® Code of Ethics training
requirement cycle from two years to three. This means
that REALTORS® now
have three years (to
December 31, 2021)
to complete their required
COE refresher.
Additional Code of Ethics training changes include:
• Learning objectives will be revised to include content
on professional conduct, courtesies, business etiquette,
and real-life scenarios.
• The Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement
will be designated as an equivalency option.
• Only courses and equivalencies provided by a local,
state, or national REALTOR® association can satisfy
the COE training requirement.
The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association is pleased to announce
that it has purchased the Orlando Executive Park to serve as
the organization's future headquarters location.
“After a decade-long search and due-diligence process, the ORRA
Board of Directors selected this particular property because of its
potential to become a home befitting to Orlando REALTORS® and
the impact that our profession has on homebuyers and sellers, our
communities, and our economy,” said 2019 ORRA President Jeffrey
M. Fagan, Watson Realty Corp, during a contract signing ceremony
in December. “Construction is intended to be completed and on
display by the time Orlando welcomes REALTORS® from around the
world at the 2022 National Association of REALTORS® Conference
and Expo.”
The three-building Orlando Executive Park is located in Orlando
near Maitland, northwest of Interstate 4 and Lee Road. It is comprised
of nearly 100,000 square feet of office space on 7.2 acres.
The property will be redeveloped to house the association’s corporate
staff along with plenty of meeting, conference, and educational
spaces. Special consideration will be made for features that
enable the association to expand its program and service offerings
to REALTORS® and the Orlando community at large.
